- Nutrition and Meals -

We follow healthy eating guidelines and our Menu has been developed by our centre Chef who has training in additive and preservative free foods. Our menu changes seasonally to ensure we use the freshest produce and is on a four-week rotation. The Menu is displayed on our App every morning for families to view and we encourage feedback from children and families.

We have our very own vegetable garden and fruit orchard onsite. The children take part in the full process from sprouting seedlings, planting into beds, care and nurturing the growing produce and finally being able to pick the fully grown vegetables and fruits. 

Our abundance of produce is used in our onsite kitchen and also shared with families on our "community produce swap table". 

Our Orchard offers mandarin, orange, cherry, apple, plum, grapefruit, pear and avocado.  

Meal times are a special times at Little Tikes. Not only are they essential in nourishing little bodies, but they provide invaluable opportunities to offer rich social experiences as we sit to eat together, discuss the days events or the food before us. We offer breakfast for our early risers, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late snack for the later leavers. All meals are prepared on the premises by our centre Chef, from fresh ingredients sourced locally wherever possible (including our own garden).

Our service follows the Smiles 4 Miles program and policies and we advocate for healthy bodies. All children are asked to bring a water bottle to care each day and these are filled with water onsite. On hot days, we provide ice cold water with fresh fruits to add some extra encouragement for rehydration. 

Our service also provides healthy fruit and vegetable smoothies in the weekly menu.
